“Educating boys and girls from 6 months to Sixth Form”

We are a successful Independent Catholic Day School for girls and boys from 6 months to Sixth Form located in Alton, Hampshire. We attract pupils from many parts of Surrey and Hampshire including Winchester, Basingstoke, Farnham and Petersfield.

Whether you are looking for a Reception place or somewhere where your child can continue their Nursery, Primary School, Prep School or Senior School education, we warmly welcome you.

Welcome to Alton School

Welcome to Alton School, located in rural Hampshire, where pupils have the opportunity to be the very best versions of themselves.

We are a caring and nurturing school community, where every pupil is personally known, and where they are fundamentally happy. At the same time, we are also ambitious for every pupil and encourage them to aim high and be successful in all that they do.

Academically, we challenge and nurture in equal measure. Our consistently excellent results are a testament to the teachers who work with pupils to help them progress and achieve.

We encourage everyone, pupils and staff alike, to get involved in all aspects of life, both inside and outside the classroom. Our impressive range of co-curricular clubs help to develop important life skills and prepare for the world beyond school.

Pupils at Alton School excel because we are all deeply committed to giving our best and recognising the ways in which we can add value to all aspects of their education. Our individual knowledge of each child and our tailored support makes the difference and ensures that our pupils are happy, fulfilled and fully prepared for their future.

We are fortunate to benefit from an estate which incorporates a wood and an orchard. This allows for outdoor learning and our Forest School provision, as well as impressive sporting facilities, whilst in our classrooms, the focus on modernisation and progressive learning and teaching provides for a thorough education for life.

As a Catholic school with the Christian values of tolerance and caring for each other, we welcome all faiths and none and we aim to support our outstanding outcomes with a real focus on kindness and support for each other.

I hope you are inspired by what you see here and will come to see us in action very soon. We are always delighted to welcome visitors, so please do join us at one of our Open Events to see Alton School in action.
